Your Life Goals Are Your Choice
Your personal goals are important to you and unlike things, no one can hand you goals or achieve them for you. No one feels your feelings or experiences your dreams. No one can live your life or be your career. They are yours to earn and are part of you.
This is why it is so important to ask yourself what you want in life. After you decide, ask yourself how you will bring your desires to reality. Turn your thoughts into beliefs. Turn your beliefs into action. Your actions make it happen.
You have to work for what you want. Most things are not given to you, and much of what you want has nothing to do with things anyway – they are feelings, experiences, knowledge and other intangibles. What you want may be for another, but your goals are still your choice.
Your level of desire dictates how hard you will work toward your goal. If you can’t seem to get started, a bigger desire is taking precedence. The symptom is procrastination. You may have to overcome your own underlying objections before you can get going. Once you do, remind yourself of your priorities to keep from becoming side-tracked. Make a plan and stick to it. It’s okay to goof off every now and then. We all need down time. Your plan may be to create a life where you have more down time or your plan may be about finding productive ways to spend your time. You choose your goal and you choose how to get there. It’s your life and your choice. Choose wisely.

Great post. Every sentence could be a chapter heading. The toughest part is choosing wisely that which is a worthy goal. Thank you for the clarity and encouragement.
